I am Candice Chenade, the founder and illustrator behind By Candice Chenade.

I started my brand because I struggled to find cards and art prints that really represented me and the people around me. I felt that styles on the market were either dated, overly woke or not a true representation of our community today. I want to diversify the greeting card and paper goods industry by showcasing black and mixed race people in all of their glory. We celebrate Black Excellence often, but we still deserve to be celebrated for the regular things that we do. My mission is to uplift people and make sure people who look like me are represented. Because representation matters.

I Launched my first collection in May 2021 just in time for father’s day, after I was inspired by my amazing dad and watching the beautiful relationship blossom between my daughter and her dad. The collection was well received and requests for new designs were coming in fast. So I started creating and putting my designs out there, expanded my product range and By Candice Chenade was born. My illustrations are made black and mixed race people in mind.

Book & Kulture is an online specialist book service catering to African & Caribbean literature and Artisan crafts.
The ‘Book’ side champions existing and aspiring authors and offers a local collection service for those within the surrounding area of Brent. Stocking a range of titles for both children and adults.
The ‘Kulture’ side of the business celebrates African & Caribbean Artisan craft like jewellery, art, greeting cards and gifts that are all but invisible on the High Street.

   Amanthis is a UK Based Stationery Company founded in July 2018. It sells a variety of stationery such as notebooks, filing products and other supplies. 

   It’s aim is to produce beautiful notebooks and stationery at a lower, more affordable pricepoint; thus making it more accessible to all. We consider this important as everyone’s notes should look pretty.

Bonita Ivie Prints is a gifts, stationery and homeware brand that celebrates African culture with the use of bold colour and patterns synonymous with traditional West African prints, also known as ‘ankara’.

Founder Bonita Ebuehi is a self-taught graphic designer, with a background in architecture. A self-confessed stationery addict; she was dissatisfied with the lack of ethnic influence in high street stores and saw a huge gap in the market for diverse stationery. Bonita Ivie Prints was subsequently launched in January 2017.

Bonita is passionate about creating products that people of colour can easily identify with, to make both celebratory and everyday moments special.
