About Chizoba Ikwueke

Chizoba is a Solicitor qualified in England & Wales with broad, international experience in corporate law. 

Chizoba studied Economics BSc at Manchester University following which she interned at Goldman Sachs before joining the deal team at Talis Capital. 

Chizoba trained at Clifford Chance London where she worked in the Financial Regulation, General Finance and Private Equity teams.

Chizoba completed a 6 month secondment  at Clifford Chance Singapore where she worked in the Finance, Corporate and Capital Markets teams. Chizoba was promoted to the Dubai office at Clifford Chance where she worked on Finance and Islamic Finance transactions before returning to the UK to work as a Legal Consultant. 

Notable deals on which Chizoba has advised includes: 

Advising an investment bank on a supplemental agreement to a US$5 billion  euro-commercial paper and certificate of deposit agreement.

  • Advising a cement manufacturing company on an upsize to its US$3.6 billion facility.
  • Advising a syndicate of lenders on a US$300 million financing for a NASDAQ listed energy company .
  • Advising an investment bank on a US$300 million dual conventional and Islamic financing for a diversified investment company.
  • Advising the government of a central African country on a US$50 million facility agreement.
  • Advising Infracapital on the acquisition of Energetics Topco Limited, a gas, electricity and water distribution company, from Macquarie.
  • Advising Octopus Investments, the UK’s largest investor in solar farms, on the acquisition of a portfolio of 15 solar power projects in the United Kingdom.
  • Advising Kellogg’s on their acquisition of the shares in Multipro Singapore Pte. Ltd., and Tolaram Africa Foods Pte. Ltd.
  • Advising the International Finance Corporation on a US$120million facility agreement between the Lender and Summit Meghnaghat II Power Company Limited to fund the construction of a natural gas power plant in Meghnaghat, Bangladesh.
